Diagnostic : strategic business of Mayoly Spindler’s development.
In 2016 Mayoly Spindler acquired Kibion – the world leader in fast and reliable urea breath testing machines and tests for the diagnosis and eradication control of Helicobacter pylori for the diagnosis and control of the eradication of this bacterium.
In 2019 Mayoly Spindler created the new business unit Mayoly Diagnostic.
As a strategic pillar of the development of our company this business unit is dedicated to the marketing of analytical systems, consumables and drugs for the diagnosis and eradication control of Helicobacter pylori.
The busines unit provides solutions for improved efficacy and reliability for an optimal diagnosis and eradication control of Helicobacter pylori. As supporting partner it actively drives and supports scientific innovations to help developing the field and to create and maintain the awareness for this global health problem.
95 % of duodenal ulcers and 70 % of gastric ulcers are attributable to this infection, which affects nearly 4 billion people worldwide.
Also it has been identified as a major course of gastric cancer and is listed as carcinogen by the WHO.
The eradication of this bacteria is done through treatment with antibiotics.
